Editions / Artists' Books `02 is entering its fifth year with an exciting new location in Chelsea. This unique fair continues to be an unparalleled showcase for contemporary publishers and book dealers exhibiting the latest in prints, multiples and artists' books. Organized by Susan Inglett of I.C. Editions, Michele Quinn of Brooke Alexander Editions and David Platzker of Printed Matter, Editions / Artists' Books will take place in the Starett Lehigh Building at 601 West 26th Street, 14th Floor. With 9,000 sq.ft., we now have the opportunity to present all the participants in one location. This new space will also provide us access to the wide audience of visitors in the Chelsea neighborhood.

The opening reception on Thursday, November 7, 5-9 pm, is being organized as a benefit for Printed Matter, Inc. an independent not-for-profit organization founded to heighten the visibility of artists' publications and is the world's largest distributor of artists' books, magazines, audio and video works. General admission for opening night is $25, or a patron ticket of $100 includes admission and a limited edition by Jenny Holzer. On Sunday there will be brunch and special offerings on select works. Timed to coincide with the IFPDA Print Fair, the fair is also a part of the second annual citywide "Print Week", organized by the International Fine Print Dealers Association, to promote the medium of prints through exhibitions and symposia held throughout the week.

Twenty-three publishers of fine art prints and multiples will feature some of the best examples of contemporary prints and multiples. Participants, both domestic and international, have been invited with consideration to the variety and strength of their publishing activities and include the well established and newly established.
